Thanks to my dad who fostered a love of photography I have been capturing images for a long time. I have a particular passion for nature and aviation photography enjoying sharing what I love with others. 

I started with a Brownie camera progressing to developing my own film shooting sports in high school.  Life happened and it took the advent of smartphone photography to pull me back.  The iPhone was a transformational device for me having a good camera always readily available.

Today I am likely to have a modern Sony mirrorless camera like the A1 with a telephoto lens attached as I chase wildlife and airplanes.

My aunt was in the Air Force and we lived close enough to Dayton, Ohio and the Air Force Museum that I begged to go as often as I could.   My love of aviation has lasted my whole life.

Today I am a Lifetime Colonel in the Commemorative Air Force and enjoy the chance to use my photography to keep telling the stories of the planes and the men and women who flew them.  I like modern jets too!  

I enjoy photographing wildlife of all kinds mostly in Pennsylvania and Florida the two states where I spend most of my time.  I primarily use longer telephoto lens for wildlife.  I love to watch and capture great images but staying well away from wildlife keeps us both safe.   It does not keep you warm! My best wildlife images are usually captured when I am wet, cold, muddy, frozen, hot or otherwise uncomfortable.  That's nature.  

Here I am enjoy a brisk but lovely morning waiting for Elk to cross that far hill near in Elk County Pennsylvania. 

The majority of my aviation photography is from the ground but whenever I get the chance I will do air to air.  Airplanes look good on the ground photographed from the ground.  Airplanes look great in the air photographed from the ground.  Airplanes look best in the air seen from the air in their element.
